STYLE AT THE ELLE MAGAZINE BLOG PARTY!!

Elle Magazine SA in association with BlackBerry were searching for a young talented style reporter to join their team, someone who can spot trend as they unfold on the dusty streets of Mzansi. So on Tuesday night i headed to MOAD Maboneng Precinct to see who was going to be crowned the ELLE Style Reporter title. i was lucky enough to be part of all the action as my good friend Lebogang Tlhako was one of the selected  super seven unfortunately she didn't take it but Trevor Stuurman a 19-year-old who's just as equally deserving took it  Trevor is incredibly talented, creative and down to earth. This was really destined for him. With that said what would an ELLE party be without fashion so here are some of the people who were dressed to the nines.

8 FAMOUS GAY DESIGNERS - Rising awareness against gay violence!!!!!!!!!

It amazes me when there are still individuals who discriminate against gay people, I don't know if its ignorance or just plain stupidity because the same people who you disciminate and pass judgement on are the same people who ultimately make decisions on the clothes that you wear......interesting take right?! so before you decide to be a stereotyped douche bag let the clothes that you wear be a constant reminder that gay people are also people if not special people. so ít's high time we celebrate their wonderful contributions not only in fashion, but in the development of modern art and individuality as a whole. They embody a passion for their work like no other the kind of passion that drives the majority of their career and reputation. This is my gay love of talented designers who brought great influence in the fashion industry. Marc Jacobs is not only the famous designer in the world but also the the creative director of Louis Vuitton since 1997. Jacobs is al

The significance of this holiday is to draw attention to the issues and social challenges faced by women on a daily basis.  These issues include domestic violence, femicides, sexual harassment, sexual assault, female education and etc, m any South Africa women have dedicated this day to help increase understanding and protest against these inhumane despicable acts against women. On this year’s women’s day I had the honor of being invited to attend the Tswelopele Ka Thuto Women's Day High Tea Event hosted by  Nthabiseng Mokhothu the founder of  Tswelopele Ka Thuto, a non-profit organization with the aim and vision of moving young people forward with education  through career guidance, mentorship programs and charity.     The purpose of the high tea was to collect donations in a form of  matric dance dresses, shoes and accessories to assist underprivileged

BOOK REVIEW: I Can't Believe It's Not A Dream - Dr. Ronnie Masilela

After reading I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT A DREAM I was reminded of two powerful quotes by Robin Sharma. ·         “My love for books is what saved me.” ·         “It’s not what you will get out of the books that is so enriching – it is what the books will get     out of you that will ultimately change your life”. For me this book is a detailed version of what Robin Sharma was talking about in those two quotes. The writing is amazing, it's  unpretentious, lucid and poignant, I really enjoyed it and the story-line is astounding and relatable.  The Robertson’s, the other families that took him in, his friends and every single person who helped him, I sincerely believe that was God extending a helping hand to him.  Never have I been so touched by a book to a point of tears, I am not sure if it’s because I know the author personally hence I was able to relate and empathize with him in such a vulnerable and humane manner or if it was pure
