8 FAMOUS GAY DESIGNERS - Rising awareness against gay violence!!!!!!!!!

It amazes me when there are still individuals who discriminate against gay people, I don't know if its ignorance or just plain stupidity because the same people who you disciminate and pass judgement on are the same people who ultimately make decisions on the clothes that you wear......interesting take right?! so before you decide to be a stereotyped douche bag let the clothes that you wear be a constant reminder that gay people are also people if not special people. so ít's high time we celebrate their wonderful contributions not only in fashion, but in the development of modern art and individuality as a whole. They embody a passion for their work like no other the kind of passion that drives the majority of their career and reputation. This is my gay love of talented designers who brought great influence in the fashion industry.

Marc Jacobs is not only the famous designer in the world but also the the creative director of Louis Vuitton since 1997. Jacobs is also a close friend of Victoria Beckham. According to Out magazine's poll, Marc Jacobs is ranked eighth in the top 50 gay characters affect the world in 2007.

Dolce & Gabbana - a brand name is known worldwide as a top fashion brand but  behind the success was the hands and minds of two extraordinary gay designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. They have very different personalities: Domenico is very meticulous, accurate and quiet meanwhile Stefano is passionate and booming.

The father of surprising designs ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

Alexander McQueen has also been awarded the CBE, as well as being named International Designer of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designer Awards .He married his twenty-four-year-old lover George Forsyth,a documentary filmmaker ,this relationship however did not last. McQueen was found dead at his London home on 11 February 2010, he was just 40 and days away from presenting a new collection in Paris.

Giovanni 'Gianni' Versace was a charismatic and accomplished Italian designer of clothing and theatre costumes. He was influenced by Andy Warhol and modern abstract art; and considered one of the most colourful and talented designers of the late 20th century. One July morning in the summer of 1997, Gianni Versace was assassinated in front of his home in Malibu beach by a  gay serial killer named Andrew Cunanan, who committed suicide shortly after the murder.

Karl Lagerfeld is the veteran designer of the fashion world at the moment . Karl is famous and adored by the fashion elite creativity, elegance and luxury under the brand Chanel'. Haired old man also known as a romantic lover of young boys, or muscular guys. That is the reason why Karl's creations are always fresh and filled by his intensity of happiness and love.

Tom Ford is the popular face of the men not only in fashion but also in architecture. Tom Ford's famous for his personality, eccentric and pompous, he understands men better than anyone else . Unfortunately for the women who re in love with him and then realized that Tom Ford's heart belongs to the another man Richard Buckley - a former editor of Vouge magazine.

Born Valentino Garavani in Voghera, south of Milan, he was interested in fashion from his youth. At the age of 17 he went to study fashion in France; 10 years later, after five years at the salon of Guy Laroche, he struck out on his own, setting up in an atelier in the Via Condotti in central Rome. The "secret that is not a secret" Valentino is a successful gay fashion designer.

Yves Saint Laurent first came to the fashion world's attention when he was 17 and then became the favourite assistant of the most famous designer at that time Chirstian Dior. When Dior died in 1957, Saint Laurent took over the house and got much success. After being in a fight in the Algerian war, he discovered that he had been replaced as head designer at Dior so he created his own brand name and to become one of the most celebrated designers in history.

BOOK REVIEW: I Can't Believe It's Not A Dream - Dr. Ronnie Masilela

After reading I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT A DREAM I was reminded of two powerful quotes by Robin Sharma. ·         “My love for books is what saved me.” ·         “It’s not what you will get out of the books that is so enriching – it is what the books will get     out of you that will ultimately change your life”. For me this book is a detailed version of what Robin Sharma was talking about in those two quotes. The writing is amazing, it's  unpretentious, lucid and poignant, I really enjoyed it and the story-line is astounding and relatable.  The Robertson’s, the other families that took him in, his friends and every single person who helped him, I sincerely believe that was God extending a helping hand to him.  Never have I been so touched by a book to a point of tears, I am not sure if it’s because I know the author personally hence I was able to relate and empathize with him in such a vulnerable and humane manner or if it was pure
