I’m very solid and confident in the person that I am but like any other normal person I also have my own nagging self doubt and annoying little insecurities.
As we grow we discover a growing void inside of ourselves as women that seems almost impossible to fill and instead of looking within ourselves to find what’s missing we run to the nearest shopping malls for completion.
We are so uncomfortable with ourselves despite the fact that we look beautiful on the outside; we struggle to identify ourselves outside our pretty little cocktail dresses and six inch stilettos.
Our personalities are constructed, protected and affirmed by our clothes. We live under the shadow of our beautiful clothes because we are in doubt of the person that’s underneath them.
There are two types of clothes:
clothes that wear us and clothes that we wear. When clothes wear you, you are noticeable yes but not necessarily memorable they conceal you the individual but when you are wearing your clothes they enhance and exude confidence and assuredness and you are easily remembered for who you are not what you wore.
At some point in our lives we all experience insecurities and we feel the need to hide behind something but whatever it is we hide behind let it be something we can learn and grow from because at the end of the day clothes are just clothes but the person is so much more.
